Dr. Pooja Aggarwal Singhal is a Medical and Joint Managing Director of Aggarwal Eye Hospital which was established in 1990. She is a Diplomat of the National Board in Ophthalmology.
She graduated from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) and post graduated in Ophthalmology from Sankara Netralaya which is one of the best eye hospitals in the world and a Premier Institute for education in Ophthalmology.

She has undergone special training in Phacoemulsification by Alcon, the world leaders in Ophthalmology industry and LASIK Refractive Surgery in Singapore. Her areas of specialization include Cataract Removal by Phaco emulsification with foldable and Multifocal I.O.L implantation, removal of spectacle power by Excimer laser with LASIK surgery, community eye health, eye care policy and planning.

She is a skilled surgeon proficient in cataract surgery without stitches, using micro phaco-emulsification in routine and complex cataract cases with vast experience in premium intraocular lenses. She specializes in advanced management of corneal ectatic disorders like Keratoconus with Collagen crosslinking, Topo guided PRK and INTACS. She is proficient in LASIK surgery with conventional microkeratome and bladeless or Femto LASIK having done a large number of these cases. She is trained in phakic IOL surgery (ICL) for higher refractive errors where LASIK may not be indicated. She has performed numerous laser procedures like laser iridotomy, and laser capsulotomy. She is one of the youngest surgeons in the country to have performed large number of eye surgeries that include SICS, Phaco Emulsification, Multifocal IOLs , Toric IOLs and Refractive Surgery in her short career span till date.

Her primary focus is to give perfect vision to the youth through refractive surgery.

She is a member of various prestigious Ophthalmology bodies like the European Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ESCRS) and All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS). Her curiosity forced her to be attend various conferences at national and international level. She has presented papers in various conferences at the national level.

To generate public awareness in eye care, she has organized various public meetings and eye camps. Dr. Pooja blends her spiritual life to her daily work remarkably well. Aggarwal Eye Hospital was founded on the principle of service and continues to be guided by it. Every morning, she asks God that she be a better tool to serve humanity in our normal professional lives by being more generous and less selfish in what we do. As a Hospital Administrator and Business Development Manager at Aggarwal Eye Hospital, Dr. Pooja steers the operations of the hospital and works closely with the clinicians to help introduce contemporary protocols and continually raise the bar for clinical outcomes. She also oversees the planning, designing and funding of new projects, with a view to directing Aggarwal Eye Hospital towards optimum utilization of resources. Keenly focused on Quality, she institutionalized strict adherence to pre-determined standards in every area of operations of Aggarwal Eye Hospital.

She integrates all the activities of the various departments so that they function as one entity and ensures that all the members perform to the best of their abilities to make the patient feel at ease always and the patient’s experience at the hosiptal is effortless and hassle free. She systematically explores and determines the most effective ways of utilizing its basic components, that is, people, processes and information, to provide quality services. These components form the bridge between management goals and operational performance. Such an approach will allow easy penetration, effectiveness and sustenance of the organizational principles, policies and processes, and in turn enable the provision of services ensuring the core values of excellence, equity and efficiency.
