Patient guide

Your consultation
The process which you will follow in our hospital is:

1. Registration
2. Detailed history and vision check by our Optometrist
3. Dilatation: it will take 20-45 minutes to completely dilate your eyes for the retinal check.
4. Further examination by our Ophthalmologist who examines the cornea, lens, retina etc.
5. As part of a full eye examination, your pupils will be dilated and this will make your vision blurry for approximately two hours. It is important that you do not drive during this time. If you have sunglasses please bring them with you as this will help with glare. We recommend that you allow to be at our practice for approximately 1 – 2 hours.

Please note
1. After the dilatation, your vision will be hazy for a few hours and you won’t be able to drive back home yourself.
2. If any specific reports are available with you, please get them alongwith you when you visit us to help us have a better understanding of your eye condition.
